Description
This is a 1940s distinctive insignia for the United States 62nd Coast Artillery Regiment by Meyer. The DI is a crest showing alternating red and blue sections with borders like fortress walls and a ring of silver stars at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical post with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER NEW YORK with engraved maker mark.
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LBDX10/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has only light wear and some minor discoloration to the enamel.
