This is a 1940s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 15th Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI reads LITTORE SISTIMUS (We take our stand on the shore).
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months 2139A LBDX11/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows only light wear and tarnish.
