This is a circa 1970s patch for the United States Navy Attack Squadron 44 (VA-44). The squadron saw action during the early months of the Korean War and later became a Fleet Replacement Squadron. The patch shows two playing cards (the four of clubs and the four of hearts) and a mad and bandaged hornet.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970's.
SIZE:Approximately 4" in height and 4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester thread.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.
MARKINGS:None.
