ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1956 patch for the United States Navy Attack Squadron 44 (VA-44), aka Hornets". The patch shows two playing cards (the four of clubs and the four of hearts) and a mad and bandaged hornet.

VINTAGE: Circa 1956.

SIZE: About 5-1/8" in width by 6" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered with cotton/poly/silk embroidery thread.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 9+ (Near Mint-): Very minor wear.
