ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1970s patch for the United States Navy Attack Squadron 83 (VA-83), aka "Rampagers". VA-83 was established in April 1950 at NAS Oceana in Virginia and is still active. The twill patch shows the head of a ram at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1970s.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-9/16" in height and 3" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester thread, coated mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

None.
