ARTIFACT: This is a Circa 1900's - 1910's New England Insurance Exchange Inspector Badge. The badge is numbered 26, and is a nice example of an early underwriter's badge. The Exchange was established in 1883. It is by S.M. Spencer Manufacturing of Boston. Massachusetts.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900s-1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.
