ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1890s inspector badge for the New England Amateur Athletics Union, The badge has a bar at top that reads INSPECTOR and a red, white and blue ribbon that hangs from it. The badge or medallion shows a winged woman on the front along with the cursive letters NEAAAU, and on the reverse reads NEW ENGLAND ASSN. AMATEUR ATHLETIC UNION.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-15/16" height and 1-13/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: N.C. DORRETT BOSTON (?)87 WASH'N ST.
