ARTIFACT: This is a wonderful circa 1900 inspector badge for New England Telephone & Telegraph Company, a communications company formed in 1878. The bell-shaped badge is enameled in cobalt blue and is numbered 1204. The badge is excellent condition seeing as it is mostly enamel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with forked locking catch.

MARKINGS: 1204

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows only some very light wear, and is in excellent condition seeing as it is mostly enamel.
