Circa 1930s New England Telephone & Telegraph Co. Operator 10 Years of Service Brooch

ARTIFACT:

This is an old New England Telephone and Telegraph Company "Bell System" Operator service brooch for ten years of service with the company. At center is a bell in relief with two stars beneath. The badge is by Balfour, and is gold-filled.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

About 1-1/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-fill.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with a drop-in locking catch.

MARKINGS:

Balfour maker's mark followed by 1/10 10K GF.
