This is a circa 1900s or 1910s Special Police badge from Lawrence, Massachusetts. The oval badge has some decorative lines above and below the words SPECIAL POLICE that echo its curved edge.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900s-1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 2-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with tongue-style C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
