This is a circa 1900 City of Boston Special Police badge #1565.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1900.

SIZE:

About 2-1/4" in width by 2-1/2" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel with black painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical one piece safety-type pin with a C catch with a saddle attachment to badge-back.

MARKINGS:

PROPERTY OF CITY OF BOSTON POLICE DEPT.
