Beautiful Circa 1900 Boston Special Police Badge by S.M. Spencer with Huge City Seal

This is a beautiful circa 1900 Special Police badge from the City of Boston, Massachusetts Police Department. The badge is by S.M. Spencer Manufacturing of Boston. It has a huge City Seal at its center and is numbered 88It has a "Property of the City of Boston Police Department" mark on the rectangular saddle.

Circa 1900.

Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-3/16" in width.

Nickeled brass.

Vertical safety-style pin with forked locking catch, rectangular saddle.

882 on front; S.M. SPENCER MFG. BOSTON on reverse; on PROPERTY OF CITY OF BOSTON POLICE DEPT. on saddle.
