ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1950s Dover, New Hampshire Special Police badge. The badge is in chrome-plated nickel and was made by S.M. Spencer Mfg. Co. of Boston, Massachusetts. Dover is the oldest permanent settlement in the Granite State, known originally as Hilton's Point.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Chrome-plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

S.M. Spencer Mfg. Co. Boston; patent number on bar.
