Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a nice circa 1920s Dover, New Hampshire Police badge. It is in nickel-plated nickel and was manufactured by S.M. Spencer of Boston, Massachusetts. It is topped by an eagle and shows the Seal of the State of New Hampshire at center. Dover is the oldest permanent settlement in the Granite State, known originally as Hilton's Point.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920's.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge has very little wear to the front and a few small spots of darkening to the reverse only.
