Description
Nice, large 1930's Dover, New Hampshire police badge in chrome plated brass by S.M. Spencer in Boston, Massachusetts. The badge features the seal of the state, depicting a ship and sunburst on the horizon encircled by a wreath joined together at the bottom with a bow, around embossed letters read: "SEAL OF THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE 1776". There is an eagle perched on the top of the shield shaped badge which reads: "POLICE DOVER N. H.".
VINTAGE:Circa 1930's.
SIZE:Approximately 2 7/8" in height x 2 1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with open 'C' catch.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine—Excellent): Badge shows minor to moderate wear, mostly at high points, the nearly all of the chrome plating and painted details remain intact. Period repair to pin and hinge.
