Beautiful 1930s Grace Lines (W. R. Grace & Co.) Shipping Hat Badge

This is a beautiful circa 1930s shipping hat badge for the Grace Lines (W. R. Grace & Company). Grace was originally begun by two Irish brothers as a shipping company in the nineteenth century and evolved into a luxury cruise line over time. The badge has a beautiful scarlet red "Grace" flag at its center which is wreathed by golden bullion laurels.

Circa 1930s.

Approximately 2" in height and 2-15/16" in width.

Wool embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.
