Beautiful 1880's - 1890's Carlsbad, California Enameled Stone Mosaic Souvenir Brooch

Beautiful 1880's - 1890's Carlsbad, California enameled stone mosaic souvenir brooch. The outer edge of the rectangular-shaped brooch features nicely detailed enamel embellishments. The center of the brooch is a beautiful stone mosaic, bezel set with rope detail around the edge and the center stone of the mosaic pattern is engraved with: "CARLSBAD".

Circa 1880's - 1890's.

Approximately 2-3/16" in length x 1-1/4" in height.

Enamel metal (nickel?), stone mosaic.

Horizontal pin with 'C' type catch.

8+ (Excellent): The brooch shows minor to moderate wear, much of the enamel details remain intact, the mosaic stone is in remarkable condition.
