Large and Beautiful Old Circa 1880s-1890s Carved Cameo Brooch

This is a large and beautiful old cameo brooch that dates to the 1880s or 1890s. The cameo is carved and shows a woman in classical garb with an intricately festooned hairdo against a pink-hued background. The gilt oval frame dates to the early twentieth century.

Conch shell, gilt frame.

Horizontal pin with Tiffany-style catch (original catch was replaced).
