This is a 1970s United Air Lines 3rd issue captain wing that was originally owned by Kermit R. Steinbeck, a pilot who had fifty-six years of service with United. The wing shows four stars at top and a red, white and blue crest at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:7/8" height and 3-3/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome- and gold-plated brass with enamel detail.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch and one stabilization post.
MARKINGS:LEAVENS MFG. ATTLEBORO, MASS.
