This is a late 1950s Capital Airlines cap badge, which originally belonged to Kermit R. Steinbeck. Steinbeck stayed on for a few decades with United Airlines after its 1961 merger with Capital (please see our United Airlines section for more items owned by Steinbeck). The badge is a wreathed globe with a bird-turned-plane and five stars.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:1-1/2" height and 2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing and two stabilization posts.
