ARTIFACT: This is a late 1950s Capital Airlines cap badge, which originally belonged to Kermit R. Steinbeck. Steinbeck stayed on for a few decades with United Airlines after its 1961 merger with Capital (please see our United Airlines section for more items owned by Steinbeck). The badge is a wreathed globe with a bird-turned-plane and five stars.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1950s.

SIZE: 1-1/2" height and 2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing and two stabilization posts.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. REJV8/95 LAGEX9/10

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Wing has light wear and tarnish.
