This is a Capital Airlines badge that originally belonged to Kermit R. Steinbeck. Steinbeck stayed on for a few decades with United Airlines after its 1961 merger with Capital (please see our United Airlines section for more items owned by Steinbeck). The badge is shaped like a wing and shows a bird-turned-plane and five stars at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" height and 3-5/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two screw posts with disc backings.
