ARTIFACT: This is the last design of the pilot cap badge for Capital Airlines, which merged with United Airlines in 1961. The badge is a wreathed globe with a bird-turned-plane and five stars.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1950's.

SIZE: 1-1/2" in height x 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing and two stabilization pins.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: The badge you receive will either be the one pictured or one in similar condition. This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MFJX98 LAGEX9/10 SAGEX08/04/22

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Wing has light wear and tarnish and a few very small spots of oxidation.
