Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army Medical Department Activity at Fort Wolters, Texas. The DI shows the staff of Asclepius, only with a sword taking the place of the tree limb, atop a pair of wings and reads AEROMEDICAL SUPPORT.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960's.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/16" in height 15/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts.

MARKINGS:

S-21.

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The DI has only some very light wear and one post is slightly bent.
