This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 45th Medical Battalion by Denmark. The DI shows a variation upon the staff of Asclepiua battering ram with one snake enameled in red and green and reads STRENGTH CONQUERS.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:DENMARK N.Y. D22.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some light abrasions with one small nick at the top edge and all enamel is intact.
