This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 57th Medical Battalion. The DI is a maroon crest at the center of which is the staff of Asclepius with a horizontal sword.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:SUSCO S-21.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LABX6/11
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI has some light wear and one small piece of enamel is missing.
