This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 106th Engineer Battalion. The DI shows a fleur-de-lis above a jagged line and reads VIRTUTE ET ARMIS (by valor and arms).
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch.
