ARTIFACT:

This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army Medical Department Activity at Fort Lee, New Jersey. The DI shows a trident against a column topped by a fleur-de-lis at its center and reads MEDICINE HEALTH SERVICE.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts.

MARKINGS:

SUSCO S-21.

8 (Excellent-): The DI has only some very light wear and one post is slightly bent.
