This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 92nd Engineer Battalion by Ira Green. The DI shows a cross borrowed from the arms of Savoy and a four-pointed lozenge and reads GLORIA AD CAPUT VENIRE (glory in achievement).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts (one backing).
MARKINGS:IRA GREEN INC. MADE IN U.S.A.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The DI shows some abrasions and one backing is missing. Someone wrote something on the reverse at one time, maybe in marker.
