1960's US Army 649th Engineer Battalion DI / Unit Crest by Meyer

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1960's distinctive insignia for the United States 649th Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows a fleur-de-lis and other designs and reads PER CHARTAS SERVIMUS (through maps we serve).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960's.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Chrome plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Two posts.

MARKINGS:

N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, maker mark, crest with 22M, MADE IN U.S.A.
