This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 549th Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI is a waterside castle turret enameled in red, blue and white flanked by two golden fleur-de-lis and reads PROUD AND PROFICIENT.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK maker mark and 22M inside crest.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only very light wear.
