This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 21st Engineer Battalion. The DI has a nice coppery patina and shows an anchor with crossed oars at its center and a red crescent moon inside a five-bastioned fortress at its top .
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing, two stabilization pins.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some very small scattered spots of wear.
