This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 1st Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows an anchor with two crossed oars flanked by two crescents, and also a fleur-de-lis and a lion rampant divided by a diagonal red bend.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post (missing a backing).
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER NEW YORK and maker mark.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The DI shows some moderate wear and tarnish; a couple of small pieces of the enamel are missing.
