This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 1st Engineer Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows an anchor with two crossed oars flanked by two crescents, and also a fleur-de-lis and a lion rampant divided by a diagonal red bend.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER NEW YORK and maker mark.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows only very light wear and tarnish.
