This is an ashtray for the United States Navy's USS Tench SS-417 with a bronzed appearance. Launched in 1944, the Tench had four kills and was placed in reserve during 194After a four year hiatus, she actively served in the Navy for another two decades. The ashtray is handsomely done in bronze and has a dolphin insignia in relief on one part of the rim.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7" diameter and 1-1/8" thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
