This is a World War II submarine launch tag for the USS Tench SS-417, launched on July 7, 1944 at Portsmouth (NH) Naval Shipyard. Tench had four kills in World War II and was placed in reserve after the war.
VINTAGE:Circa 1944.
SIZE:About 1-3/4 in width by 2-1/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Foiled cardstock.
ATTACHMENT:Silk string.
