ARTIFACT: Beautiful bullion WWII UK-made United States Army Air Forces Glider Pilot Wing beautifully embroidered on combat blue backing. This wing is from the estate of 316th Troop Carrier Group Glider Pilot Lieutenant Howard Johnson. The highly decorated 316th flew the Douglass C-47 Skytrain and served in both the European and Mediterranean Theaters during WWII. The center of the bullion features the letter 'G' on the center of a winged shield.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3 ??" x 1 3/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered wool felt, bullion, combat blue backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The wing shows minor to moderate wear.
