This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces 14th Air Force shoulder patch in the "one and a half elbow" variant. The 14th Air Force replaced the China Air Task Force, which itself had earlier replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "e;Flying Tigers"e;). The patch shows a winged tiger and a white star with a red center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in height x 2-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto uniform.
MARKINGS:None.
