Description
This is a World War II United States Army Air Force 14th Air Force shoulder patch in the "double elbow, thick tail" variant. The 14th Air Force replaced the China Air Task Force, which itself had earlier replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers"). The patch shows a winged tiger and a white star with a red center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 2-5/8" in height and 2-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in silk/cotton threads.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
