ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces 14th Air Force shoulder patch in the "single elbow" variant. The 14th Air Force replaced the China Air Task Force, which itself had earlier replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "e;Flying Tigers"e;). The patch shows a winged tiger and a white star with a red center.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-9/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: The patch you will receive will either be the one pictured or one in very similar condition. This is from a WWII USAAF shoulder patch collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX89 LAHX4/14
