This is an Italian-made United States Army 85th Field Artillery Battalion distinctive insignia. The insignia is a crest showing a castle wall with five fleur-de-lis and reads UNDAUNTED UNCONQUERED UNEXCELLED.
VINTAGE:Circa 1944.
SIZE:1-1/8" height and 1-1/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with multi-colored enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:S.A. PICCHIANI-BARLACCHI FIRENZE.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): This badge has light wear and a vibrant coloration.
