German-Made DI for US Army 85th Field Artillery Battalion

This is a German-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 85th Field Artillery Battalion. The DI is a yellow and red crest showing a castle wall with five fleur-de-lis and reads UNDAUNTED UNCONQUERED UNEXCELLED.

Circa World War II era.

1-3/16" height and 1-1/8" width.

Plated brass with enameled areas.

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
