Description
This is a matched pair of United States Army 2nd Artillery distinctive insignia with collar brass. Each DI is a donkey with a banner reading THE SECOND FIRST and the insignia show an X formation with the number 2.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Each DI: 1-3/16" height and 1" width; each brass: 3/4" height and 1-3/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:DIs: gold-plated with enamel; brass.
ATTACHMENT:DIs: Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch; brass: double posts with clutch-back catches.
MARKINGS:DIs: N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK and maker's mark; brass: MEYER METAL and maker's mark.
