This is a World War II cast aluminum plaque for the United States 101st Naval Construction Battalion, which participated in the invasion of Saipan. An anchor, pick, rope and rifle, as well as the words 101 BATTALION and a Bureau of Yards and Docks seal are all shown in relief on the plaque.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 9-1/8" in height and 7-3/8" in width and 9/16" in thickness.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cast aluminum.
ATTACHMENT:None.
