ARTIFACT: This is a World War II worker badge for the Todd Shipyards Corporation Los Angeles (San Pedro), California yard. Christened Los Angeles Shipbuilding in 1917, the yard continued to operate after World War I until the United States Navy acquired it in 1941. Todd Corporation of Brooklyn, New York, took over the yard's management in 1943. There is a paper insert within the badge reading 16 5501.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/16" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, paper, celluloid.

ATTACHMENT: Two-piece badge, vertical safety-style pin, oval saddle.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a motorcycle collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAIX12 LFJX9/12 SFJX8/15

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some light wear.
