This is a circa 1930s or World War II Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Leadingman badge for a submarine worker. The badge was made at the shipyard (on the Maine/New Hampshire border). It is in Monel with a steel pin, all chrome-plated.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s-World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Monel with a steel pin, all chrome-plated.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS:38 06785 on front.
