ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II photo identification United States Army civilian worker badge for the Los Angeles Port of Embarkation in Wilmington, California. This badge was worn by David A. Boyce, a Texan who was born March 26, 1881.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Celluloid, paper, photograph, nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

C1928; W. L. CO. U. S. PAT NO; stamped with Colonel's name.

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some light wear and small spots of discoloration, with slight bowing.
