ARTIFACT:

This is a World War II lemon top patch for United States Army 9th Armored Division, also known as the Phantom Armored Division.

The patch is a tri-colored triangle bordered in olive drab and shows a tank, a lightning bolt and the number 9.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-1/4" in height and 3-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS:

None.
