Description
This is a World War II EK (Eisernes Kreuz) Kl/Iron Cross 2nd Class. The Iron Cross was reinstituted by Hitler, it having originally been a Prussian decoration. The Iron Cross was conferred for bravery in action and other meritorious military acts, and the 2nd class version hangs from a ribbon whereas the 1st class does not.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 4-3/4" in height x 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass/tombak frame with steel center, silk ribbon.
ATTACHMENT:Ribbon, suspension ring.
MARKINGS:None.
