Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an early style, English-made "clipped wings" shoulder patch for the United States 8th Air Force. The patch is navy blue and shows the number 8 with two shortened golden wings supporting a star.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-5/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Printed cotton twill, cotton backing.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows only some minor fading and light wear in small areas along its edge.
