Description
This is a World War I Imperial German Iron Cross, 2nd Class. Originally a Prussian decoration, the Iron Cross was later reinstituted by Hitler. The award was conferred for bravery in action and other meritorious military acts. This medal however is not on a ribbon and has no maker mark.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height (not including ring) and 1-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass/tombak frame with steel center.
ATTACHMENT:Suspension ring.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The Iron Cross has some light to medium wear and tarnish; no ribbon is present.
